Tahmina–E–Jahan Teena
Master’s Candidate 

This is Teena, Master’s student under the program on Environmental Science at Institute of Hydrobiology (IHB). I am from Bangladesh. I have completed Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Zoology at University of Dhaka. From my childhood I had dream to go abroad for studying .When I got the opportunity to come China, my dream comes true. Prof . Wu Zhenbin gave me a great welcome to China, especially in his lab. He is very caring , kind. Sometimes I think "Am I his student or daughter?”

I found myself very lucky to have such good friends within a short time. Although I am weak in Chinese language but they make it very easy to communicate. They make my daily life very easy and comfortable.

Our lab is well-equipped and well-decorated. Every Friday we clean our lab. Every week we conduct a meeting where every member expresses their pros and cons. Our lab has all the facilities to perform an experiment. The campus is very beautiful to look at. Donghu lake flows besides the campus and it increase the beauty of the campus. Necessary elements are available nearby the campus such as dorm, canteen, vegetable market, supermarkets, restaurants, banks, bus, taxi, hospitals. Especially I like Chinese online shopping system. Security system of the dorm and campus is very powerful.

Every weekend I try to visit new places in Wuhan. I have already visited the following places viz. Mo - Shan Park, Hubei Museum, Yangzi River, Yellow crane tower which thrilled me very much. Sometimes my supervisor gives accompany and moved me with my friends in different places. He has already arranged Hangzhou trip for me.

I am very fond Chinese food. Their fruits and vegetables are really fresh and healthy. Every province has different food taste, culture and dresses but the common thing is that, the people of China are so friendly and peaceful. I feel very proud to be a part of IHB.
